Government Incentive Schemes that can self fund a micro AD plant to give your farm long term sustainability
ADD OVER 5P A LITRE TO YOUR MILK REVENUE
We have calculated that you could add over 5p per litre of milk produced at the farm by adding a biogas system that is funded by the government renewable energy, FIT (feed in tariff) and RHI (renewable heat incentive) schemes. The biogas AD plant earns money from several sources:
ELECTRIC PRODUCTION
You can use as much of the electricity produced as possible to reduce/eliminate your current billing
HEAT PRODUCTION
You can use as much of the heat generated as possible to reduce fossil fuel use from your current billing
ELECTRIC EXPORT
Any electricity that is not used on the farm is exported to the grid and you are paid an export tariff from your energy supplier
ADDITIONAL REVENUE
Use the heat to provide additional income i.e drying slurry for fertilizer or drying logs for woodburners
FIT TARIFF
For all electric energy generated on site you are paid a price per KWH, from the FIT ore ROC scheme
RHI TARIFF
For all eligable renewable heat generated on site you are paid a price per KWH, from the RHI scheme
There are other micro/small scale systems on the market but they dont offer the same return on investment because they are at least a third more expensive to purchase.
The Biolectric systems are award winning and with over 140 systems up and running throughout Europe they are well proven in terms of relibility and production.
The combined revenue streams from all of the above make the investment into micro AD very profitable and therefore your on investment very quick, we have seen projects break even on average in year 5 and your financial support from the government is guarenteed for 20 years.
Why a Biolectric system from Regional Energy?
The AD sector has been inundated with med to large scale systems that can be full time businesses on their own and require significant diversification into arable crops for additional raw fuel. The Biolectric system is designed to run on dairy slurry with excellent reliablilty and can be matched to the Dairy Farm energy use to increase payback.
